Members of Bexhill Lions Club attended the Brownbread Horse Rescue and Disabled Riding charity Spring Open Day last Sunday (May 18) to continue their tradition of running a top quality BBQ at charity events.

The event, held at Ashburnham near Battle, was a real family fun day and included a large number of horses on show. A Lion spokesman said: “With fantastic weather the crowds were out in large numbers to enjoy live entertainment, a dog show, view the animals, visit numerous stalls and of course enjoy a burger or hot dog.” The Lions will be making a donation to the charity.

Bexhill Lions will again be sizzling sausages and flipping burgers at Bexhill Hospital Fayre on June 14, and at other events around the town. All proceeds from the BBQ events go to Lions Club Good Causes.
