The Post Office in Little Common will be closed for two weeks for refurbishment.
The store on Peartree Lane will be shut from 12.30pm on Saturday, September 12 until Friday, September 25 at 1pm.
Alternative Post Offices will be available on Windmill Drive and Devonshire Square in Bexhill.
Once reopened, the branch will have increased opening hours and a modern, open-plan design with three serving positions.
Post Office Area Manager Keith Long said: “We know how important Post Office services are to residents in Little Common.
“We are confident this vibrant modern Post Office, at the heart of the community, will be popular.
“The modernisation is part of a major government investment programme, the largest in the history of the Post Office.”
An extra 13 and a half hours will be added to the Post Office’s opening hours with an end to lunchtime closing and services available on Wednesday and Saturday afternoons.
There will be three serving positions with a mixture of one screened and two open plan.
