We’ve had a busy summer so far and enjoyed excellent speakers. Our lunch at The Castle Inn, Pevensey Bay was good, and we have also enjoyed a strawberry cream tea, visited St Mary’s House, a beautiful 15 Century Manor house and gardens in Bramber, and enjoyed afternoon tea at The Orangery, Ashburnham Place.
Our float in the Bexhill Carnival depicted our superheroes the Suffragettes, and our cries of ’votes for women’ brought forth cheers from the crowds lining the route.
Still to come our annual beach party, and our WI Centenary lunch taking place in August, and a full programme of events planned for Autumn into Winter. New members are very welcome to join our fun, friendly WI. Phone Maggi on 211873 for details.
