Antique owners flocked to get their items valued when Bexhill Caring Community staged a Charity antiques road show at The Bay House Care Home.

Many visited the Bexhill-based event to have their treasures valued by the TV valuer Paul Klein from Eastbourne Antiques Centre, on 12 July.

Samia Steele, event organiser from Bay House, said: “Paul was brilliant and spent a lot of time with each person who came to see him.

“He gave them details on their antiques, valuations, told them how their possessions were made and even gave them some history on them as well.

“We were happy with the steady flow of people visiting throughout the day, and overall we were able to raise £175, all of which will go to charity.

“We saw people brought along a real variety of interesting items for Paul to look at on a fantastic day at Bay House.”

Around 50 people bought tickets to the event, and everyone at the charity road show received one free valuation and a buffet lunch. It was a brilliant day for everyone involved, and we will definitely be having another one in the future.”
