The staff of Halifax in Devonshire Road got on their bike for Sport Relief - all day long - and were thrilled to raise a total of £1,270.
Four of them got on the saddle of a stationary cycle outside the branch in Devonshire Road and peddled away from 9-5pm.
They were Jill Keen, Claire Osborne, Elliot Leigh, and Karis Phillips.
While they were busy fundraising outside other staff members worked inside the branch to keep it ticking over as usual.
Jill commented: “It was absolutely amazing. Lots of our customers were out there, and lots of people walking past who had nothing to do with the Halifax were posting money in our bucket.
“I ran across the road and accosted a couple of police officers to come over, and then in the afternoon Sussex Police came back and were trying to encourage people to donate, which was brilliant.
“We raised £1,270 - including the match fund - and it was awesome. There was a really good buzz.”
