Its been announced that Bexhill Museum is all set to be the centre for Sussex Day 2014, championed by a local councillor.
At a recent full meeting at Rother District Council (RDC), Sussex Day - June 16, was officially recognised.
Councillor Paul Lendon, the Sussex Day Champion for Bexhill, said the event promises to be another great day out on Bexhill’s ever increasing social calendar. He said: “This year Sussex Day will be centred around Bexhill Museum. You can expect to find a Sussex theme with stalls and displays, depicting what’s good about Sussex, for example food stalls, artists, nick nacks, a reading off the Sussex Charter and a Sussex stroll encompassing a visit to De Paolo’s for a Sussex Day strawberry flavour ice cream.”
Taking place on St Richard’s Day, June 16, Sussex Day is the county day for the historic county of Sussex in southern England to celebrate the county’s rich heritage and culture.
Cllr Lendon added: “I look forward to seeing you all then.”
