A Bexhill group is on the look-out for volunteer drivers and helpers.

The Bexhill Social Group, which is part of East Sussex Association of Blind and Partially Sighted People, has been offering a monthly social gathering to anyone who is blind or partially sighted for more than 30 years.

But the success of the group means it now needs volunteer drivers to help with the increasing membership.

They meet on the 1st Friday of the month at St Augustine’s Church Hall,

Bexhill and are a lifeline to their 40 odd members. However, they are in need of some more volunteer drivers and helpers to help them organise the group. Daniel Brookbank CEO of ESAB attended the group recently and said “this group offers our members a social interaction that some

of them would not get without it. Members love coming to the hall and seeing their friends, listening to music and enjoying tea as well as going out on trips. Without sufficient volunteers the members would lose a small but essential service. I would urge anyone who has a few hours to

spare on one Friday a month to get in touch with us to help us run this

wonderful group”.

If you would like to help out or join as a member call 01323 832252.
