Hastings Direct employee Daryl Nayler and girlfriend Naomi Peachey raised £1,137 for the Motor Neurone Association by climbing Kilimanjaro over six days.
Naomi said: “The trek was beautiful, challenging and rewarding, the summit day was by far the most challenging with an eight hour relentlessly steep hike...This was by far the hardest thing I have ever done, and I’m very glad we trained hard for it, it made it a really wonderful experience. The altitude was a huge challenge as it makes every step exhausting, I don’t think I would have made it without Daryl by my side. We have always been climbing partners and a great support to each other, in life and on the mountains. We would also really like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has donated so far, we never expected to raise as much money as we have and we are overwhelmed.” Donations can still be made to www.
