Citizens Advice 1066 opens online contact system for general public

Have your say

Citizens Advice 1066 has launched a new way for people to access their services with the creation of an online contact system.

Those seeking advice are now able to visit their website at and follow the link to ‘Online Advice’.

People will be able to access online information to help them resolve their problems or they can submit an enquiry using the web forms.

The Bureau will respond by sending links to relevant information, by phoning with more information or by arranging an appointment.

Earlier this month The Observer reported how Hastings has the most debt in the south east of England with almost 4,000 households sharing in the red to the tune of £16.7.

A report showed that more than 180,000 families in the south were failing to keep up with household bills and loan repayments. Thousands of families are turning to foodbanks to survive.

Dina Christodoulou, Chief Executive, is looking forward to the launch of the service: ‘With the advances in technology and the increase in the number of people using online services today, email access seems to be a natural progression for the bureau.

“It will help us to improve access for our clients, being particularly useful for people in full-time employment, for those with mobility issues, for those with hearing problems or for anyone else having difficulty accessing advice’.

If you are interested in volunteering and supporting the Bureau’s work, email

As well as finding advice online, you can still visit the Bureau’s confidential drop-in sessions, available between 9am-4pm Monday, Wednesday, Friday and from 9am-12:45pm Tuesday and Thursday. These are held at Renaissance House, London Road, St Leonards-on-sea, TN37 6AN. The service is free and available to everyone.

Telephone advice is available on Tuesday and Thursday from 1pm-4pm on 01424 721420.
