Cleaning up dirty old signs all over Rother district

Rother Neighbourhood Watch wishes to thank the public and the Policing team of Rother for their help and support that we have receive over the last 6 months.

The new Chief inspector Warren Franklin has been backing us 100 per cent since taking over his post in Rother and we also wish to thank him for his support. A big thank you to everyone that attends the Rother Neighbourhood Watch (RNHW) Bexhill Town Hall Meetings. The next meeting will be held on Friday July 25 at 1.30pm for tea/coffee and biscuits for a 2pm start

Just to inform you all we are making progress throughout Rother slowly but surely. We have started the process of cleaning our RNHW signs as they are so dirty and they are letting us down. If you are aware of dirty signs please contact Ted Kemp. chairman@rothernhw.co.uk.

We are also starting up Junior Neighbourhood Watch in Rother but we desperately need volunteers to help with this project. If you would be interested in helping the young generation in your area please contact Vice Chairman Keith Miller on 01424 224401.

Also, if any co-ordinator in Rother that has not been in touch with me to confirm that they are still active please do this so we can update our books. If you wish to become a co-ordinator and would like me to come and talk about what is involved in looking after your area send me an email with your contact details and I will get back to you.

On Saturday May 31 and Sunday June 1 at 4 Fir tree Close, Little Common, Bexhill on Sea. TN39 4TD my wife and I are opening our garden to the public to raise funds for RNHW 10.30am - 3pm both days. Admission £2, tea/coffee and cakes will be available, also a raffle. We do have some steps so it is not Disabled Friendly. Its not a big garden but it has many plants for you to see. Last year we entered Bexhill in Bloom and received 3 certificates and a cup. Certificate of Excellence, Best Wildlife Friendly Garden and Winner of Best garden Design.

We will have Police information on scams in Sussex and you will be able to join as a member or co-ordinator on the day. For more information on RNHW visit the website at: www.rothernhw.co.uk
