Have you seen a black labrador, hedgehog, rabbit or garden gnome?
If so they might belong to a Sutherland Avenue householder who is appealing for the return of outdoor ornaments which were stolen from her garden at the weekend.
Sue Oberdries thinks they were taken by drunken revellers fresh from a nearby party and is hoping someone might know where they are - maybe having been found in someone else’s garden.
The garden ornaments had been in situ for some nine months and Sue was pleased that they became a local talking point with children in particular enjoying having a look at the collection.
She said: “Lots of people come up to look. It is just a shame really, and this is spoiling it for people. I think it happened in the early hours of Sunday morning with drunks having a laugh.
“I am annoyed...everyone was asking what are you going to have next in there, and there was a lot of interest in the garden from children and elderly people who live in this road. I am sure it’s been done as a dare, that is what annoys me, they have gone and dumped them somewhere else.”
If you have any information about the missing animals, and gnome, please call Sue on 01424 212048.
