Horace and Eileen Davidson, both 97, celebrated their platinum wedding anniversary on Tuesday with their family.
The couple, who live in Courthope Drive, met while both working for Cheshire County Council and were married in the middle of WW2, settling down in Chester.
They had their son, Christopher, who had two children, Sarah and Philip. Their grand-daughter daughter waited to get married on the same day, September 17, so they could celebrate their special anniversary together. Horace is a former Round Table chairman while Eileen was chair of her Ladies’ Circle. He has been a keen gardener while she enjoyed studying literature, and she commented: “We are different people with different interests.”
They moved to Bexhill 20 years ago.
