He resigned from Bexhill Town Forum’s executive committee but then he changed his mind.
Now Andrew Crotty has answered chairman Phil Lee’s public statement he will not be accepted back, and says he will attend the next Forum, which will be at St Mark’s church hall in Little Common on Tuesday September 24 from 6.30pm.
Andy was voted on to the committee during the AGM and attended the first executive meeting where he was not satisfied to find a Rother District Councillor on the panel. He felt that the councillor “shouldn`t be involved” in executive meetings of the Town Forum, and felt ignored by the chairman in this respect.
Andy did try to arrange meetings without the councillor present as he felt this was how the committee should operate as “the voice of Bexhill”.
He said: “I did put my resignation in but six days later I rescinded it as I had no word from the chairman...I was never given a opportunity to speak my case and I did state that the Bexhill people voted me as vice-chairman, not the panel, but that was never addressed and I was given my marching orders. I can`t see that being fair and balanced.”
