A town centre hairdresser is so moved by the plight of youngsters who have lost loved ones that she is holding a charity event on Wednesday September 11.
Susan Muscat, of Muscat & McEwen in St Leonards Road, hopes to raise funds for Dragonflies project in Hastings which helps youngsters aged 5-18 who have been bereaved and are struggling to cope with their loss.
Susan is holding a special day of hairdressing bargains and is appealing to the community to join in by booking up an appointment. For instance, roots can be done for £10 and a parting foil will also cost £10 - processes that usually cost £30 - while a blow dry can be had for £8 and a conditioning treatment for £8 also.
There will be a raffle and other treats and the event is from 9-8pm.
“Bookings have to be made in advance,” said Susan this week.
“Hopefully we are going to get lots of people in and we will have a really great time. It is for Dragonflies - someone mentioned the project to me and I looked it up, I don’t think many people know about it. I hear from friends and clients about youngsters who have lost their parents.”
Book on 01424 212123 or at 42 St Leonards Road.
