Hundreds raised at academy’s fair

Bouncy castles, raffle and welly throwing were all part of the fun at Glenleigh Park Primary Academy’s summer fair.

Sunny weather was enjoyed by the crowds who turned out to the event on Friday (July 4) which was organised by the Parents Teachers Association (PTA).

The afternoon, which also included an exhibition by the school’s cheerleading group and plenty of refreshments to tuck into, was to help raise funds for outdoor playground equipment.

The fair raised a total of £803, which is the highest amount raised by the PTA since the school became an academy.
