I would like to support Mike Lynott’s letter raising the question of non-religious representation at the Cenotaph Remembrance Service.
We hear much today of aggressive secularism.
Is this a question of the pot calling the kettle black?
It would seem that the religious-minded assume that they alone wish to express their grief and memory of loved ones who lost their lives in the defense of their country.
If there are reasons that justify this cruel exclusion of the non-religious, please make these known.
One does not have to believe in God in order to feel the full range of human emotions.
