From floods in Britain to the lushness of the Sipi Falls area of eastern Uganda. A truly beautiful place in which to recharge both physical and spiritual batteries. An eleven hour drive away, however, is the Kidepo Valley National Park, which at this time of year is a hot and arid land. One where dried up river beds offer little water for washing or drinking. It made me realise, on my recent visit, just how vital this commodity is, for without water there can be no life. Life given to us as a gift from our Creator and through the Spiritual life giving water Jesus offers, this might lead to eternal life. In thankful response, it’s good to support schemes to provide clean drinking water to those who desperately need it. Then we might love God and our neighbour as ourselves.
