League of Friends appealing for coffee shop volunteers

THE work of the volunteers who run the two coffee shops operated by the League of Friends of Bexhill Hospital added more than £3,000 to the charity’s funds last year.

The shops in the Outpatients’ Department of the main hospital block and in the hospital’s Irvine

Unit are a valued amenity for patients, staff and visitors.

But the league’s social secretary, Harriet Chapman, who runs the rota for manning the shops has recently lost a couple of valued volunteers and is appealing for replacements willing to give up a little time to serve the community.

Anyone able to help is asked to contact Mrs Chapman on 210085.
