The Year 4 pupils of St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary School held an India Day in celebration of all they have learned this term.

Children and staff dressed up in traditional Indian clothing and looked “absolutely fantastic” in their bright and bold colours.

To start the day, they held an assembly for the Key Stage 2 children and Year 4 parents, and displayed all that they have found out about the massive and amazing nation.

Then, as a grand finale, the children performed their India dance.

The Indian day ended with the children tasting some traditional Indian curry, rice and naan bread which was enthusiastically received. A successful day all round.
