Lions have funds to support local youth organisations

Bexhill Lions Club has announced that funds are now available to support organisations in Bexhill who are involved in youth

activities.

Now in its 12th year, past awards exceeding £33,000 have helped many local groups offer new challenges and support to their members. The awards are designed to encourage local clubs, societies, and not-for-profit groups to promote youth involvement across all disciplines, interests and sports. Lion Paul Fleming who leads the Youth Committee said the money is to be used to enhance existing facilities, extend the range of activities that are on offer or even set up a new youth focused group, adding: “Bexhill Lions are keen to support the development of youth activities in Bexhill. These are vital to help develop youngsters’ character, skills, health and social awareness. So if you could use some additional funding then we want to hear from you.”

To apply for an award send details about your group and its requirements via e-mail to: pdf2957@gmail.com

Applications must be received by February 28, 2014. Further information, a visit or interview may be required, so its advised to get applications in early. An awards ceremony will be held for those that are successful. Vist the website at: www.bexhill-lions.org
