The UKIP campaign bus rolled into town during its pre-election publicity campaign. Spokesman Alf Lovell, of the Bexhill and Battle UKIP consitituency, commented: “After parking for sometime at the De La Warr Pavilion it was warmly received when it travelled down the seafront and through the town centre. Local members were distributing invitations to a Public Meeting in Bexhill the following day, at Manor Barn.
“Approximately one hundred people attended that meeting where they heard a speech by Donna Edmunds who is one of the prospective UKIP MEP’s for the area.
Alongside Donna was Geoffrey Bastin who is the prospective parliamentary candidate for Bexhill and Battle for the General Election next year. They were both well received and answered a number of questions posed by the public.”
Geoffrey Bastin was this year selected as the prospective parliamentary candidate for UKIP for the Battle and Bexhill constituency for the 2015 general election.
The branch holds a monthly coffee morning on the last Saturday of each month at the Northern Hotel in Bexhillat 11am.
