THE MAYOR of Bexhill is looking to the local business community to support a major fundraiser she has organised.
Earlier this year, Councillor Frances Winterborn selected Bexhill Caring Community as the good cause she would support during her time in office.
As part of the fundraising campaign, she has organised a variety show at the De La Warr Pavilion on October 13 – promising an evening jam-packed with music, acrobatics, comedy, dance and light opera.
In a message to local firms, Cllr Winterborn said: “So that I can raise as much money as I can for I am looking to local businesses to sponsor the event, and I have provided a number of options, which I am hope you will consider.”
These options include a £1,000 main sponsor, a £500 co-sponsor and a £100 programme sponsor packages.
Anyone interested should contact Jay Wootten from Hastings Direct, who has offered to help organise the event.
He can be emailed at event email@example.com.
Cllr Winterborn added: “We hope you will work with me on this event, and with your sponsorship we will be able to host a great community event, as well as raising as much money as possible.”
Bexhill Caring Community provides vital support to housebound and lonely locals, with volunteers offering help with gardening, shopping, form filling as well as a lift service and general companionship.
