Ping-ponging their way to fitness at a Bexhill High club

Bexhill High and Rother Table Tennis Academy staged a successful half-term table tennis fun day at the school in Gunters Lane.

Attractions included:- fun and games, skills and competition, meet Robbie ‘ping pong’ the robot, and a professional coach in attendance for the day, all for just £10.

Table tennis is becoming big news at the academy. The recently-launched Bexhill High Table Tennis project - funded by the Sport England Small Lottery Grant - is becoming a huge success and has seen the setting up of a leadership project as well as a community based club.

The leadership scheme is well under way with 20 students taking part in training days and visits to local schools to develop their leadership skills.

The club regularly attracts more than 25 players.
