Now that digging up details of family trees is an increasingly-popular pastime a local group has organised talk to tell people how to get their research underway.
The Bexhill Alliance has organised the event for Wednesday October 16 at Parkhurst Hall between 10.30am and 12.30pm.
Two genealogists will lead the session, called Digging Up Your Roots, and tickets are £5 and include tea, coffee and biscuits.
Sue Davis, who will be joined by fellow expert Yvonne Cope, said: “Many people would like to find out more about their family history but don’t know where to start.
“This half day session will enable them to get started and hand-outs that they can take away will tell them how to continue their research.”
Tickets will not be available on the door so anyone who would like to go should book in advance from Christine Madeley on 01424 216033.
