Shop-keeper robbed at knifepoint in Bexhill

A newsagent was robbed at knifepoint on Saturday June 14.

The 20-year-old woman was working at Marina News, on Marina, in Bexhill when the robber grabbed her and treatened her with a large kitchen knife.

He demanded money from the till and made off with £450, just about 3.30pm.

There is believed to be one suspect who is described as a white, aged 25 to 40, 5’ 8” to 5’ 11” tall and skinny.

He was wearing black all-in-one overalls with white trainers, and an army green beanie hat. The man disguised his face with dark sunglasses and a false ginger beard.

Detective Constable Paul Wren said, “This is a serious incident and we are keen to trace who is responsible. If you recognise the suspect’s description or saw anyone acting suspiciously in the area at this time please get in contact.”
