Richmond Care Home in Bexhill hosted a summer fair on Saturday 12 July, raising more than £600.
The organisers were incredibly lucky with the weather, after making the decision at 9am to go ahead with the outside event, despite the grey skies.
Fortunately, things brightened up, and organisers were happy to see around 100 people in attendance, including the Mayor and his wife.
Everyone enjoyed non-alcoholic Pimm’s and had a very pleasant day out in the sun.
Linda, a relative of one of the residents, grew several plants and raised a lot of money. Richmond Care Home employee Poppy also contributed to the event’s success, and Danny the chef and his team worked hard to cater for the day.
The money raised will go towards special events, trips and outings for the residents of the care home.d
