Society is on the lookout for new members

The Bexhill & District Gardens and Allotments Society is looking for new members.

It costs just £2 per person and the membership lasts until December 31 2014.

The Society’s secretary Val Hopgood said: “Everyone is very welcome as we do not insist that you own a garden or an allotment and we are a friendly, happy society. On the social side we do day trips to places of interest throughout the year, members enjoy an annual week long holiday April/May and an annual long weekend in September with our Annual Flower and Produce Show held at the end of August.

“This year’s week long holiday is to Drymen, Loch Lomond from Saturday, 24 May 2014 returning on Saturday, 31 May 2014 with an overnight stops in Preston. Prices are £370 per person for a double/twin and we still have a couple of double/twins available. There are two day trips coming up on Sunday 22 June 2014 to the Wye and Arun Canal at £22.00 per person and on Saturday, 19 July 2014 to Walmer Castle at £22.00 per person.
