A soldier who was found guilty of strangling and attempting to rape a woman in Bexhill is today (Wednesday September 25) due to be sentenced for his crime.
Trevor Clark, 21, who was staying in Bexhill, attacked an 18-year-old woman in New Park Avenue on Sunday 19 August at 3.40am as she walked from Bexhill railway station.
He was arrested on Saturday 25 August and later charged.
Clark was later found guilty following a two-week trial at Lewes Crown Court.
He was remanded back into custody and is due to be sentenced today.
