On July 5 St. Richard’s Catholic College’s held its annual PTFA summer fair.
Pupils and their families, staff, past pupils and members of the local community came along to this key fundraising event for the PTFA.
As always, pupils and their families had been generous and supportive in ensuring that there was a range of quality products and prizes on offer for stalls, tombolas and raffles.
Pupils were involved in helping and running activities alongside members of the college’s PTFA, staff and families.
Despite the poor weather meaning a move indoors, everyone made the most of the great community atmosphere to socialise and make the most of all that was on offer.
Popular attractions this year included a Three Range Bungee Run and Sumo wrestling.
Live entertainment included performances by the St. Richard’s dance company as well as student singers and musicians.
There was also some fitness sessions including Zumba sessions led by Marie Doves Fitness and a Bootcamp from Bodyshop UK.
Money is still being counted but estimates suggest over £4,000 was raised at the fair.
This fantastic amount will enable the PTFA to buy extra items which will benefit pupils in departments and in extra-curricular activities as well as other extras chosen by pupils on the school council.
