OLDER people in Bexhill have been getting active during a free session to mark a national initiative.
The table tennis sessions were held at Bexhill Youth and Community Centre to coincide with Older People’s Day which took place on Wednesday, October 2.
The event was supported by Rother District Council’s sports development team as part of its Active Rother initiative, to encourage all, whatever their age or ability, to be more active and enjoy sport.
The session included a mixture of ages, with younger players joining those who have been attending for more than 25 years, including three in their 80s.
All ages are welcome to attend table tennis sessions which run at the centre in Station Road on Wednesdays from 1.45pm.
Details of other activities are available online at www.activerother.org.uk
