More than £2,200 was raised by the annual summer fair at St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary School at the weekend.

The day was “a huge success” and was enjoyed immensely by all who attended.

The P.T.A worked extremely hard to arrange all of the events, games and stalls. There were crafters selling their homemade items, a multicultural food area providing traditional dishes from around the world including the Philippines and Sri-Lanka, and Luigi from Di Paolo’s restaurant came with his homemade ice-cream and sold it from a cart.

The school was supported by businesses in the area which donated various raffle prizes. Among the traditional fair stalls there was a Dual Inflatable Assault course and a huge array of performing arts clubs which included Lacey Theatre Arts, 1066 Gymnastics, Mad Fish performing Arts, SAMA Karate and some very talented pupils from St Richards Catholic College. The fair ended with children from St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary School singing their version of “Let it Go” from the Movie Frozen.
