Two pupils from St Richard’s Catholic College dedicated a day of their skiing holiday to raise a huge amount of money for charity. Alex and Annabel Field participated in a sponsored ski safari for SOS Children’s villages, which is the world’s largest orphan charity.
Their original aim was to cover the 35km ski safari route in Kitzbuhel, Austria.
In the event, there were perfect conditions and they managed to cover over 70km. Both Alex and Annabel are grateful to all their sponsors whose generous support of their challenge enabled them to raise £900.
The money raised will go to the SOS Children Orphanage in Siem Reap, Cambodia. In addition to the fund-raising undertaken by Alex and Annabel, the form group of 7R are also raising money on a continual basis for SOS children. SOS Children run orphanages around the world and money goes towards the children’s food, health and education in order to help give them a good start in life.
