KS2 pupils at St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary School took part in the British Heart Foundation’s ‘Ramp up the Red Day.’
This is a fundraising campaign to highlight heart disease.
Children in Years 3, 4, 5 and 6 all participated in an Ultimate Dodgeball Knockout Tournament. There were 16 teams, 4 representing each house of St Patrick, St David, St Andrew and St George. It was a day with making banners, cheering and wearing battle face-paint. Not only did the children have fun but they learned about the BHF and raised a significant amount of money for the charity. The day ended with the whole school watching and cheering in the playground. It was a fiercely contended final which saw St David’s House take on St Andrew’s to become the winners.
