The Rother Neighbourhood Watch Annual General Meeting was held at the Council Chambers, Town Hall, Bexhill on October 18.
The meeting was addressed by Mr John Wright MBE Chairman of the Sussex Federation of Neighbourhood Watch and Mr Derek Pratt Vice Chairman who was pleased to see a large turnout of coordinators, councillors and police that came to show a high level of commitment and support.
Mr Wright outlined the role of the federation in Sussex and its aim to involve local councillors and to generate cohesion at all levels. He said Rother Neighbourhood Watch (RNHW) is his family.
On the agenda was the election of new Chairman Edward Kemp, Vice Chairman Keith Miller, Treasurer/Webmaster Chris Ashford, Events Officer Beryl Kemp and Administrator Lorna Extence; proposed and seconded by Cllr Patrick Duard, the Committee was duly elected.
Chairman Ted Kemp extended thanks and appreciation to John and Derek for their support and for organising the election. He introduced the new committee and thanked Chief Inspector Katy Woolford and her team for their support and the backing she is giving RNHW.
Katy Bourne, Police and Crime Commissioner for Sussex was not able attend the meeting. She sent her apologies and a message of support.
