Looking after your pooch with free micro-chipping tomorrow

Come and meet your local police community support officers at a free dog micro-chipping event tomorrow afternoon.

On Saturday June 14 between 12.30pm and 4pm the annual Bexhill Hospital Garden Party is being held in the grounds of the hospital to raise money to support patients’ care.

Members of Bexhill’s neighbourhood policing team will be at the event alongside staff from The Dogs Trust who will be offering free dog chipping for visitors.

From 6 April 2016 all dog owners must have their pets micro-chipped.

Police community support officers will be on hand for a chat and to highlight and encourage responsible dog ownership.

PCSO Rachael Scott said: “This is a great opportunity to take the right action for your dog and is only being offered free of charge for a limited time, so come along, bring your friends and neighbours dogs too.

“We look forward to seeing you there.”
