A man suffered smoke inhalation after a blazing shed in Bexhill yesterday afternoon (September 20).

East Sussex Fire & Rescue Service were called to reports of a shed alight in Peartree Lane at 3:20pm.

Two crews from Bexhill and Hastings used 1 in 7 foam, 1 hose reel jet and 1 main jet to put out the fire before turning over and damping down to ensure the blaze was fully extinguished.

The man was treated for smoke inhalation and was left in the care of paramedics.

On investigation the cause of the fire was found to be accidental.
