New health panel meets in Bexhill mid January - and is taking questions

A NEW organisation responsible for commissioning health services for Bexhill residents from April holds its first meeting in public on January 17.

The Hastings and Rother Clinical Commissioning Group is taking over the role previously carried out by the primary care trust.

It will be responsible for ensuring the right health services are in place and that they are accessible to residents.

The board meeting in public takes place on Thursday January 17, 12 noon to 2pm in the Townroe Room, St Peter’s Community Centre, Church Street, Bexhill TN40 2HE.

Dr Roger Elias, who chairs the group, will give a presentation on the development of the organisation. A report by chief officer Amanda Philpott, a progress report on the CCG’s authorisation and a presentation about the public health annual report will be on the agenda together with financial and performance updates
