I won't claim for a second home - will Greg Barker?
Many MPs have this past week been asked to pay back expenses that the appointed auditor has claimed to be unreasonable.
Reaction to this week'sfindings has shown that the publichave not regained theirtrust inMPs.
That's why I have declared that, if elected, I will not claim for a second home in London.
I believe that it is vital that the people of Bexhill & Battle feel able to trust their MP. As such I will not claim for a second homeand will only claim modest expenses when it is absolutelynecessary to stay away from home as part of my job. I challenge Greg Barker to make the same pledge.
Greg Barker's own situation has been so unclear even Private Eye magazine has commented on it. How can he expect the people of Bexhill and Battle to trust him?
