Bexhill’s popular ‘Singing down memory lane’ group formed by the Bexhill Dementia Action Alliance and lots of incredible volunteers celebrated its first birthday this month.

With a scrumptious cake generously donated to the group by the Cheese and Delicatessen Shop, lots of colourful decorations and an abundance of upbeat songs, members from the Bexhill community came along to sing and dance and join in the celebrations.

The Bexhill Dementia Action Alliance has decided to maintain the sensory allotment for the next year.

A great group of committed members have laid a wheelchair friendly path at the allotment and are doing a great job of clearing, tidying and preparing it for next spring!

A big thank you to Bay House who donated bags of bark and volunteers Sally Hemmings and Alan Bearne for continuing to ensure the allotment is dementia friendly.
