A mum who turned her embarrasment into a fundraiser has now got a date for the inaugural pants run.
The Great Pants Run for Fertility will be a part of the Hastings Park Run on Saturday, August 22.
Toni Gardner, from Bexhill, has now got a venue for her pants dash to raise £1900 for an infertility support group in 1066 Country.
“It should be interesting but I’m really looking forward to it,” she said.
“If we can get the money in the next 30 days that would be great - I’m a bit anxious but hopeful we can do it.”
She came up with the idea of running around in your underwear for charity after shutting her skirt in the door when chasing after her toddler Eddie.
Toni left her skirt and ran down the road in her undies and after posting an apology on Facebook, the response inspired her to turn her escapades into a fundraiser.
“I really cannot thank the wonderful citizens of Bexhill enough for your overwhelming support and encouragement,” she said.
“Truly, I have never lived anywhere like this. Thank you, from the bottom of my pants.”
Toni went through fertility treatment herself and found it emotionally draining and financially crippling as it cost her over £20,000.
As a trained therapist, she wants to provide support for women as there is no group currently in Sussex.
Toni has secured 20 runners so far and everyone who takes part will be entered into a draw for afternoon tea at The Little British Tea Shop.
Only over-18s can run in their pants but everyone is welcome to join in, to register visit parkrun.org.uk/hastings.

The first meeting of the infertility group is on September 14 in The Bell Room, St Peter’s Community Centre, Church Street, Bexhill.
