Vouchers were awarded to ‘book cover’ competition winners.

Headteacher Rachel Martin said: “It was an incredible day, children and staff went to great efforts to think of interesting and creative characters.

“Today I met Alice in Wonderland, Willy Wonka, the Demon Dentist and Horrid Henry, we even had a collection of Harry Potters.

“At Pebsham Primary Academy, we encourage pupils to read at home everyday and an event like this is a good way to celebrate a love of reading.”
