Police are investigating a report of a mysterious incident where two men posing as police officers stopped and searched a car.
At about noon on June 11, a Nissan Pulsa driven by a 49-year-old man was stopped by a dark blue Skoda Octavia in Cantelupe Road.
The Skoda had blue lights in the front grille and dashboard and was apparently masquerading as an unmarked police vehicle.
Inside were two men who were wearing partial police uniforms, including stab-proof vests and radios. They were not wearing caps.
Having stopped the Nissan, they searched it and left.
The men were both white, about 5’10”, clean shaven and of medium build. One was in his mid-thirties and the other one was in his late thirties to early forties.
Detective Inspector Rob Morland said: “We have made extensive enquiries and it is clear that these men were not police officers. The motive for their actions is not known.” Witnesses are asked to call police on 101.
