Power tools and red diesel stolen at Bexhill

Police are appealing for witnesses to a burglary in Bexhill-on-Sea, in which several power tools and red diesel were stolen.

The break- in happened sometime overnight in Sandhurst Lane on Sunday May 17. The thieves siphoned red diesel from a tractor into drums.

The drums were later found dumped in a nearby ditch and it is believed the thieves were planning to return for them at a later stage.

A workshop was also entered from which several power tools were stolen.

They included a Draper 1/2 inch air gun, long reach air impact, air ratchet, Husqvarna and Stihl chainsaws and two Bosch power tools. Approximately 40 litres of red diesel were also taken from the workshop.

Sergeant Mark Evans, of the Bexhill Neighbourhood Policing Team, said, “We would like to speak to anyone who is offered the chance to buy second-hand power tools or any of the other items that were stolen. Please contact us if you have any information at all.”
