Royal British Legion Women’s Section Little Common

At Our October meeting on Wednesday 17th our speaker was Mark Sawyer, coxswain for the Eastbourne RNLI lifeboat based at Sovereign Harbour. A great speaker, he told of the different classes of lifeboats over the years and some of the different types of call outs they get, and of the inshore boat, he also told of his experience of taking their newest lifeboat named Diamond Jubilee in the procession on the Thames for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee celebration, a very interesting evening.

On Saturday 31st October we have our autumn fair in aid of the RBL Poppy Appeal all are welcome at Meads Avenue Little Common.

Our next meeting is on Wednesday 11th November at 7o/c and will be our AGM. New members always welcome.
