Housing association AmicusHorizon’s East Sussex Area Panel has presented a £1,900 cheque to the Sidley Saturday Club.

The club aims to provide activities - like arts and crafts and indoor games - to families on a limited budget. The club runs once a month at All Saints Church Hall, Sidley, and is open to families with children aged up to 12 years.

The cheque was presented to the club on Saturday April 5 by Val McDonald, East Sussex Area Panel member along with Bexhill Deputy Mayor, Brian Kentfield.

The money came from the Local Improvement Fund, a pot of money set aside by AmicusHorizon that allows people to improve their communities.

The cash is expected to go towards the club’s rent and helping to continue providing activities.
