On the trains, passengers are reporting cancelled services and shorter carriage trains than usual although Southern Rail says it is operating a good service.

Weather wise, Saturday morning will start bright with cloud thickening to bring rain at times to most areas.

That will clear during the afternoon with sunny spells.

There is a risk of showers developing by evening, possibly thundery with hail.

It will also turn warm and humid, with light winds and a maximum temperature of 22°C.
