Shakespeare themed night at the opera

A night of spine-tingling music is taking place later this month to raise money for a local charity.
Hastings institution Opera South East has enjoyed a long standing association with the local branch of the Blind Association - stretching as far back as the early days of Hastings Opera.
And each year the choir holds a concert to generate funds for the good cause.
This year's showcase is taking place at St John's Church in Pevensey Road from 7.30pm on Tuesday, April 20.
The theme is Shakespeare and expected highlights of the concert include Verdi's Macbeth and Othello, Gounod's Romeo and Juliet and other offerings from Vaughan Williams, Bernstein, Purcell and Cole Porter.
Tickets priced 7.50 and are available from the Blind Association and at the door.
