BEXHILL HIGH is holding a special meeting on Tuesday in a bid to improve communications between the school and parents.
The academy’s interim principal Andy Mortimer and the head of school Darren Gelder have arranged the meeting for 7pm and are hoping as many parents or guardians are able to attend.
Top of the agenda are proposed changes which will take effect after half-term, from Monday February 24. These plans include developing a pastoral system to support pupils, potential changes to the length of the school day and the introduction of homework.
Mr Mortimer said: “These are challenging but nevertheless very exciting times for the Bexhill High community.
“I have listened extensively to parents and carers since I joined the academy about various issues, some of them controversial. “Andy and I are now in a position where we feel we want to communicate with parents.”
