Have your say

A family ramble takes place in Bexhill’s Highwoods next week

Yompers and strollers are invited to meet at the car park in Peartree Lane (North), Little Common at 10:30 am on Wednesday 28th May.

This will be a gentle stroll through the woods in early summer with the younger generation in mind.

There should be plenty of activity from birds, many of which will have their young by now, as well as butterflies and dragonflies.

This is a family walk and “making a postcard” will be a feature.

These are always popular with the youngsters, but the adults can have a go as well. Colouring sheets and wordsearches will also be available to take home. Suitable footwear advised as the walk is along muddy footpaths; Wellies best if recent rain. The distance is about 1 mile taking 1 1/2 hours.

This is a joint event with the Highwoods Preservation Society and Bexhill Museum.
