celebrate the history of
‘wartime stitch’

Stitch For Victory is an exhibition from Eastbourne Redoubt, fortress and museum, coming to the Beacon, below St Mary’s Terrace, Hastings, for one afternoon this Sunday (January 20) from noon to 3pm.

The Stitch for Victory community project aimed to research, document and celebrate the social and military history of ‘wartime stitch’.

This touring exhibition is the result and includes a historical account of the use of stitch during the Second World War, images of textiles made during this time, reproduction letters and photographs.
